CLUB OF SCOTLAND

(RESCUE & REHOMING)

'Mickey'

Mickey was saved from death having been left to die in a park.

He was found tied to a tree using a short length of plastic rope which was also tied around his neck. He had survived for days eating anything that was within his reach, including plastic bottles, paper and bones. When found he was close to death. The S.P.C.A. gave him life saving treatment and surgery and set about the very slow task of building up his strength. The Club's rescue ere in close liason and eventually rehomed Mickey into a caring home where he loved and was loved. The picture shows him after the treatment.

A police enquiry found the previous owner had neglected Mickey to the point where they thought he was dead. They allegedly paid for someone to bury him. However, Mickey regained consciousness and the person abandoned him to die in the park....
